Travis Collins teaches about Pilate’s dilemma. Pontius Pilate represented Tiberius, the Emperor of Rome, and he was in Jerusalem for the Passover celebration to make sure no one started an insurrection against the Roman government. Then early on a Friday morning, Jesus was brought before him, and the people were demanding that Pilate have him executed.
He didn’t think Jesus deserved to die, and he tried to get out of making the call. But in the end, he had to decide what to do with Jesus. Eventually, we will all have to make a decision about Jesus… To believe in Him or not. To follow Him or not.
